get started

This guide will summarise the high-level options available to you to get started on kippy based on your organisation's specific requirements and constraints.

The key questions we will need to answer are:

-
Do you need help defining or refining your existing strategy?

-
Do you want to setup everything yourself or do you want us to do it for you?

-
Is all your objective and KPI data ready to import or does it still need to be defined and captured?

Step 2) Configure kippy to fit your organisation

a) Guided setup

If you need help with getting set up, kippy provides Enterprise Accelerator Package. This is a 20 day consultancy package that will guide you through the advanced set up and ensure kippy is configured appropriately to fit your organisation. More details available on the Pricing page.

b) Self-configure

If you want to setup kippy yourself, we highly recommend watching the videos and completing the free-courses in our learning centre. These will explain the advanced system admin features and how to configure them to suit your individual business processes and requirements.

Step 3) Input your data

Whether you already have existing objectives and KPI data or not, the Enterprise Accelerator Package can also help you quickly get to a live performance management system. However, if you want to input your new or existing objectives and KPIs yourself, below are some of the options.

a) Without pre-existing data

If you do not have any objectives and/or KPIs defined, you have the following options to get into the kippy.

i) Artificial intelligence

Kippy's in-built AI consultant can define a base strategy from scratch to suggest some industry standard objectives for organisations like yours. You can iteratively augment, amend or reject those suggestions until you have a set of objectives that align to your key corporate objectives.

Kippy AI can then show you new and additional KPIs for each of your defined objectives for your to add, amend or reject. The AI learngs from your data and you can add hints to guide the AI for more suitable suggestions. More details here.

ii) Manual entry
The Strategy screen allows you to add and maintain one objective at a time.

The Maintain screen allows you to add one KPI at a time. These are best for a guided journey to type items individually. Each label provides in-context help text so you can understand exactly what each field is for. This is very useful if you are still getting familiar with the kippy methodology and tooling. The approval process allows you to add 'draft' KPIs into the system than can be reviewed and approved by admins and managers before becoming live in the system.

The Quick Set screen allows you to type in multiple objectives and KPIs in a spreadsheet-type user interface.

b) With pre-existing data

Kippy provides a number of options for you to get the data you already have somewhere else into kippy.
i) Strategy and Maintan screen

The Strategy screen allows you to add one objective at a time. The Maintain screen allows you to type in one KPI at a time. These screens are best for a guided journey to type items individually. Each label provides in-context help text so you can understand exactly what each field is for. This is very useful if you are still getting familiar with the kippy methodology and tooling.

ii) Quick Set screen

The Quick Set screen allows you to quickly copy and paste data from your existing spreadsheets into kippy. This is particularly useful if you have a lot of data already captured that you want to get into kippy a lot faster.
This method assumes you are already fairly familiar with kippy and have pre-formatted your data so it is ready to paste in to correct columns.

It is worth noting that the Quick Set validation rules are quite permissive i.e. the idea is to get your good data into kippy and then fix the other bits via the kippy interface. This is deemed better than having to perfect all your data externally BEFORE getting to see ANY of it within kippy.

iii) Kippy Excel Upload

Kippy provides a Excel spreadsheet template that you can populate offline in your own time with your colleagues. Once completed, you can upload that template into the system in one go.

If you don't like what's been imported, you can simply delete that Kippy team, fix your template and import it again.

Conclusion

The Enterprise Accelerator Package provides a guided option to simplify setup and go-live within 20 days.
